Why are we so blessed? We’ll get to that later, but in the meantime ski season has officially started for me with a trip to Killington yesterday. Besides being totally stoked and shredding really hard, I go to use the GPS receiver that I bought over the summer. I got the coordinates of several lifts which I plan to store in a searchable database. I will then use the database to analyze my track logs of ski days. I also enjoyed the top speed stat – I was unfortunately only able to hit 42.5mph because there weren’t many runs open and slopes were really croweded. Plus the snow conditions were really variable. My goal is to hit 60mph at some point this season. I think my best chance will be a Sunday River were the runs are long, straight, and ALWAYS groomed to the max.
